A brief insight to public health, one of its earlier most notable specialist’s was physician John Snow. When a cholera outbreak hit London in the mid-19th century Snow found what the source of the infection was one certain well which was being used for water. After finding this out to much outrage snow removed the wells pump to stop the water being used from it, but by doing this he managed to stop the disease spreading.
Today educating people of health is a profession known as Health Education. Areas covered by this profession are areas such as environmental health, physical health, emotional health, spiritual health, intellectual health and social health.
